II Kings 7:3-9
And they said one to another, why sit we here until we die?
Four famished, fear-stricken, leprous men led one of the greatest deliverance’s and revivals the nation of Israel had ever witnessed.
God transformed this twilight trip into one of the most hilarious invasions in all of history.
The timid, soft steps of the four leprous men cautiously walking on the path to the Syrian camp was amplified and magnified by God into a roar of chariot wheels rumbling, swords clanging, horses panting, soldiers shouting, and trumpets blasting. This roar melted the Syrian soldiers hearts with a frightful fear of a devastating defeat.
The noise of confusion went crackling through the camp like a wind-swept fire.
The church may seem to be a rag-tag group of weekend soldiers with:
Low budgets
Untrained soldiers
Underpaid leaders
With highly criticized efforts
With a task which seems unattainable, unimaginable, and unfathomable
But God can Amplify our voice:
Magnify our work
Glorify our endeavors
He can also Rectify our failures
Mystify our enemies
Gratify our labors
Many are waiting for God to move but God is saying “Don’t Just Sit there do something!”
The lepers were sitting outside the city walls of Samaria
The city cast them out They were an offense to look upon They were eyesore to behold They had the potential of being highly Contagious and infectious
The Church likewise has been supernaturally wedged in between the world and the enemies camp.
The world has separated the church from societyWe are an offense to their fleshly lusts, We are an eyesore to their humanism and materialism. We have the potential of being highly Contagious and infectious
You are in the world, but you are not of the world
Come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing. Be ye holy, for I am holy
Four Lepers “Why sit we here until we die?” Don’t just here and die. Let’s get up and do something
The church has nothing to loose
The devil fights us
The world does not like us
We might as well

Preach the truth Shout
Has the devil stole your Joy

Does it seem like the devil’s noose is securely wrapped around the necks of your family members

Get down on your knees and intercede, Sanctify a fast
Have faith in God
By all means, Don’t Just Sit There, Do Something!
The coffee was still brewing
The beans were still simmering
The roast was still roasting
The bacon was still sizzling
They ate the food
Buried the treasures
Wore the clothes
What they had received almost persuaded them to forget why they had received it.
WHAT and WHY are two words which hold life and death, blessing and cursing
What they had received was incredible
But why they received it was awesome
Psalm 103:7
To Israel God revealed His acts (The What)
To Moses God revealed His ways (The Why)
We do not have a problem comprehending the doctrines of WHAT we have
We have a problem with comprehending the doctrine of WHY we have it
WHAT we have
Holy Ghost, Anointing, Truth
All Powerful Mighty God !
But the most convicting and investigative question is WHY do we have it
To hoard it, To bury it
To consume it, We are much like the four lepers
We found it, We ate it, We buried it, We wear it
But we just don’t share it
Esther had it all Her God given beauty, God had elevated her to the lofty position Of being queen
The threat of the holocaust of the Jews was God’s primary purpose for her promotion.
The tools given her for deliverance were also the touchstones of her greatest temptation.
She was in a fortified comfort zone
Vast wardrobes
Untold wealth
Servants to fulfill her every whim
WHAT she had could easily seduce her to forget WHY she had it
The church
We are the King’s kids, We know our rights and our privileges
We relish our claim to authority over
Demons and sickness
Untold spiritual wealth
Fortified in our spiritual comfort zones
Mordecai
“If you remain silent at this time relief and deliverance for the Jews
will arise from another place.”
We sit in a nation
Cursed with AIDS
Bludgeoned by violence
Drowning in crime
And our witness through the media is
Ministers with Rolex watches
Limousine cars
Soliciting prostitutes
We don’t need to just sit here
We need to Do Something
Revival does not solely come through the avenues of faith and trust
Revival can come simply through the avenue of obedience to God’s will
1. Ezekiel “Cam these bones live?”
2. Jonah “Go to Nineveh”
Whale – The biggest taxi you have ever seen
3. Four lepers No faith but God did it
We are not doing right. This is a day of good tidings and we hold our peace something tragic will come on us.
Let us go tell everyone what has happened.
David at Ziklag , Amalekites Burned the city kidnapped their wives
and their children Israel wanted to stone David to death
If there was no David No Jesus
No David No Calvary
No David No Blood
No David No Salvation
David encouraged “himself” in the Lord, No one to pat him on the back
No one to participate in his pity party, David did something he encouraged himself in the Lord
God said pursue and you will recover all
A dying slave was the missing link to recovering what the enemy had stolen from them. Without us they will die in the desert of sin without them we will wander around aimlessly and cluelessly searching for revival
